Meet Eric

Eric Scantlebury is a devoted husband and father. He’s the family chef, gardener, tech support, and all around fix-it guy. He’s a talented woodworker and avid camper. You’d only find him sitting still (somewhat) when he savors a good meal, enjoys a concert, tells a story (again…), or cracks a Dad joke. Unfortunately, Eric’s days are pretty quiet now. He is enduring advanced liver disease and requires a life-saving liver transplant.

While Eric remains on the national deceased-donor waiting list, the time spent waiting on that list can stretch into years while liver disease increasingly takes the "living" out of life. However, medical science offers an extraordinary pathway forward: Living-Donor Liver Transplantation.

By sharing Eric's journey, our goal is to spread awareness about living organ donation, educate our community, and help Eric find a path toward a healthy, full future.
